Impressions from Paris. Cool mostly overcast days. Louvre is larger than the city of Hickory. Monuments and statues everywhere. French people willing to talk. They LOVE their healthcare system - proud of it. Eiffel tower IS 1,000 feet high and IS stupendeous. Art is everywhere. Both madmade and natural. Notre Dame was a disapointment - expected to sense sacredness, instead only a sense of bored control Wi-fi is available but expensive. Everything too expensive. WAY too expensive. Washing clothes this morning at a laundrymat - $24. Cup of coffee $7. Language not a problem - seems everybody speaks French, Spanish, German , English. Everybody, that is, except us Americans. Duh.
